  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to campaign financing;

  3         requiring certain organizations to file

  4         campaign finance disclosure reports; providing

  5         requirements for the contents of, and for the

  6         place and time of filing, such reports;

  7         providing an effective date.

  8  

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Nonballot, issue-advocacy advertisements by

12  organizations; reports.--

13         (1)  Any organization that raises money for purposes of

14  making a nonballot, issue-advocacy advertisement after the

15  close of qualifying for statewide candidates must file

16  campaign finance disclosure reports that disclose the full

17  name, address, and occupation, if any, of each person who has

18  made one or more contributions to or for the organization

19  within the reporting period, together with the amount and date

20  of such contributions.

21         (2)  The disclosure reports required under subsection

22  (1) must be filed with the Secretary of State, and the initial

23  report must be filed at the end of the calendar quarter in

24  which the organization first accepts a donation for such

25  purposes. Subsequent reports must be filed on the schedule

26  applicable to political candidates for office which is set

27  forth in section 106.07, Florida Statutes.

28         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
