11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 6, lines 22 through 27, delete those lines
15  
16  and insert:  and authorized procedures. Notwithstanding the
17  requirement of paragraph (4)(d), the department shall adopt
18  rules that specify required methods for determination and
19  approval of patient eligibility and referral, and the
20  contractual conditions under which a health care provider may
21  perform the patient referral and eligibility process on behalf
22  of the department. These rules must include, but need not be
23  limited to, requirements that:
24         (a)  The provider must accept all patients referred by
25  the department. However, the number that must be accepted may
26  be limited by the contract;
27         (b)  The provider shall comply with departmental rules
28  regarding the determination and approval of patient
29  eligibility and referral; and
30         (c)  The provider shall complete training conducted by
31  the department regarding compliance with the approved methods
