14 On page 1, delete everything after the enacting clause:

16 and insert:
17 Section 1. (1) The Department of Business and
18 Professional Regulation shall reinstate and reissue the
19 license by July 1, 2005, of each individual whose license to
20 practice surveying and mapping under chapter 472, Florida
21 Statutes, has become null if all of the following
22 circumstances and qualifications are met:
23 (a) The individual's license was scheduled to be
24 renewed during the biennium period beginning in 2001.
25 (b) The license of the individual was in good standing
26 at the time of the beginning of the renewal cycle.
27 (c) The individual properly petitioned the department
28 for relief relating to the circumstances under which the
29 license became null.
30 (d) During the period that the license was null, the
31 individual did not commit a felony, violate a practice act, or

1 engage in unlicensed activity for which a penalty is imposed.
2 (2) The individual must submit an application to the
3 Board of Professional Surveyors and Mappers for reinstatement
4 in a manner prescribed by rules of the board and pay the
5 appropriate application fee in an amount equal to the fee
6 currently imposed for initial licensure.
7 (3) This act expires July 1, 2005.
8 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
9 law.

19 and mapping; requiring the Department of
20 Business and Professional Regulation to
21 reinstate and reissue certain licenses to
22 practice surveying and mapping if specified
23 circumstances and qualifications are met by the
24 applicant; requiring that an application be
25 submitted to the Board of Professional
26 Surveyors and Mappers as prescribed by rule;
27 providing for an application fee; providing for
28 expiration of the act; providing an effective
29 date.
