10 | of the act; providing an effective date. |

12 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
13 |

14 | Section 1. (1) The Department of Business and |
15 | Professional Regulation shall reinstate and reissue the license |
16 | by July 1, 2005, of each individual whose license to practice |
17 | surveying and mapping under chapter 472, Florida Statutes, has |
18 | become null if all of the following circumstances and |
19 | qualifications are met: |
20 | (a) The individual's license was scheduled to be renewed |
21 | during the biennium period beginning in 2001. |
22 | (b) The license of the individual was in good standing at |
23 | the time of the beginning of the renewal cycle. |
24 | (c) The individual properly petitioned the department for |
25 | relief relating to the circumstances under which the license |
26 | became null. |
27 | (d) During the period that the license was null, the |
28 | individual did not commit a felony, violate a practice act, or |
29 | engage in unlicensed activity for which a penalty is imposed. |
30 | (2) The individual must submit an application to the Board |
31 | of Professional Surveyors and Mappers for reinstatement in a |
32 | manner prescribed by rules of the board and pay the appropriate |
33 | application fee in an amount equal to the fee currently imposed |
34 | for initial licensure. |
35 | (3) This act expires July 1, 2005. |
36 | Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law. |
