14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 13, lines 9 and 10, delete those lines

17  and insert:  
18         Section 11.  Citizen Soldier Matching Grants
19  Program.--The Agency for Workforce Innovation shall establish
20  a matching grant program to award matching grants to private
21  sector employers in this state which provide wages to
22  employees serving in the United States Armed Forces Reserves
23  or the Florida National Guard while those employees are on
24  federal active duty. A grant may not be provided for federal
25  active duty served before January 1, 2004. Each grant shall be
26  awarded to reimburse the employer for no more than one-half of
27  the monthly wages paid to an employee who is a resident of
28  this state for the actual period of federal active duty. The
29  monthly grant per employee may not exceed one-half of the
30  difference between the amount of monthly wages paid by the
31  employer to the employee at the level paid before the date the

The 3 agency shall develop a plan, subject to the notice, review, 4 and objection procedures of section 216.177, Florida Statutes, 5 to administer the application and payment procedures for the 6 matching grant program. The matching grant program shall be 7 funded by legislative appropriations. 8 Section 12.
