  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056, 320.08058, F.S.; creating an Omega

  4         Psi Phi Fraternity license plate; providing for

  5         the distribution of annual use fees received

  6         from the sale of such plates; providing an

  7         effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (ss) is added to subsection (4)

12  of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (ss)  Omega Psi Phi Fraternity license plate, $25.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (45) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (45)  OMEGA PSI PHI FRATERNITY LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  Notwithstanding the provisions of s.

22  320.08053(1)(b), the department shall develop an Omega Psi Phi

23  Fraternity license plate as provided in this section. The word

24  "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, and the words

25  "Omega Psi Phi Fraternity" must appear at the bottom of the

26  plate.

27         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to the

28  Florida State Omega Scholarship Fund to be distributed by

29  Omega Psi Phi for scholarships to deserving students.

30         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
