| 4 | Between line(s) 16 and 17 insert: |
| 5 | Section 2. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, |
| 6 | residential telephone service is exempt from the local |
| 7 | communications services tax imposed by section 202.19, Florida |
| 8 | Statutes. There is hereby appropriated from the General Revenue |
| 9 | Fund for fiscal year 2004-2005 sufficient funds to hold local |
| 10 | governments harmless from the reduction in revenue resulting |
| 11 | from the exemption created in this section. |
