  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Hillsborough County

  3         Public Transportation Commission; amending

  4         chapter 2001-299, Laws of Florida; revising the

  5         definition of the term "limousine" for

  6         regulatory purposes of the commission;

  7         providing an effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Subsection (17) of section 3 of chapter

12  2001-299, Laws of Florida, is amended to read:

13         Section 3.  Definitions.--As used in this act:

14         (17) "Limousine" means any motor vehicle not configured

15  as a taxicab, van, or handicab that meets the minimum

16  standards for vehicle style, age, and condition, as

17  established by the commission in its rules, that is for hire,

18  and that has not equipped with a taximeter, with a capacity

19  for 22 15  passengers or less, including the driver.

20         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

21  law.
