6 | Constitution, upon written request by the current or former |
7 | personnel of a crime laboratory or medical examiner's office, |
8 | which must include official verification that the person has |
9 | received a work-related threat to his or her life, health, or |
10 | safety or to the life, health, or safety of a member of his or |
11 | her family. For purposes of this sub-subparagraph, personnel of |
12 | a crime laboratory or medical examiner's office are defined as |
13 | personnel whose primary duties or responsibilities include |
14 | performing laboratory and analytical work in criminal |
15 | identification and investigation; photographing crime scenes; |
16 | classifying, evaluating, and identifying fingerprints; or |
17 | supervising one or more persons who have those duties or |
18 | responsibilities. |
19 | b. Sub-subparagraph a. is subject to the Open Government |
20 | Sunset Review Act of 1995 in accordance with s. 119.15, and |
21 | shall stand repealed on October 2, 2009, unless reviewed and |
22 | saved from repeal through reenactment by the Legislature. |
23 | 5.4. An agency that is the custodian of the personal |
24 | information specified in subparagraph 1., subparagraph 2., or |
25 | subparagraph 3., or subparagraph 4. and that is not the employer |
26 | of the officer, employee, justice, judge, or other person |
27 | specified in subparagraph 1., subparagraph 2., or subparagraph |
28 | 3., or subparagraph 4. shall maintain the confidentiality of the |
29 | personal information only if the officer, employee, justice, |
30 | judge, other person, or employing agency of the designated |
31 | employee submits a written request for confidentiality to the |
32 | custodial agency. |
33 | Section 2. The Legislature finds that the exemption from |
34 | public records requirements provided by this act for the home |
35 | addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, and |
36 | photographs of current or former personnel of a crime laboratory |
37 | or medical examiner's office, the names, home addresses, |
38 | telephone numbers, social security numbers, photographs, and |
39 | places of employment of the spouses and children of such |
40 | personnel, and the names and locations of schools and day care |
41 | facilities attended by the children of such personnel, when a |
42 | written request for such exemption is made by the current or |
43 | former personnel of a crime laboratory or medical examiner's |
