| 4 | Remove line(s) 29-38, and insert: |
| 5 | (b) The subject matter of a revision or amendment to this |
| 6 | constitution proposed by initiative must be of constitutional |
| 7 | stature. If the Supreme Court determines that the proposed |
| 8 | initiative is not of constitutional stature, the Supreme Court |
| 9 | shall direct the Secretary of State to place the question on the |
| 10 | next general election ballot as a statutory initiative, which |
| 11 | shall be provided for by general law. A provision of |
| 12 | constitutional stature is a provision that guarantees important |
| 13 | fundamental rights, requires the legislature to address an issue |
| 14 | of great importance, limits the powers of the three branches of |
| 15 | government, or repeals a provision of this constitution not of |
| 16 | constitutional stature. |
