1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to the disposition of civil
3 penalties by county courts; amending s. 318.21,
4 F.S.; requiring that a specified amount of the
5 civil penalties received by county courts be
6 deposited into the Grants and Donations Trust
7 Fund in the state courts system Justice
8 Administrative Commission for specified
9 purposes; providing an effective date.

11 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section
14 318.21, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
15 318.21 Disposition of civil penalties by county
16 courts.--All civil penalties received by a county court
17 pursuant to the provisions of this chapter shall be
18 distributed and paid monthly as follows:
19 (2) Of the remainder:
20 (a) Twenty and six-tenths percent shall be remitted to
21 the Department of Revenue for deposit into the General Revenue
22 Fund of the state, except that the first $300,000 shall be
23 deposited into the Grants and Donations Trust Fund in the
24 state courts system Justice Administrative Commission for
25 administrative costs, training costs, and costs associated
26 with the implementation and maintenance of Florida foster care
27 citizen review panels in a constitutional charter county as
28 provided for in s. 39.702.
29 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
