3     Amendment (with ballot statement amendment)
4     Remove line 42, and insert:
5may not provide for an exemption from this section.
6Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no tax upon
7estates or inheritances or upon the income of any resident or
8citizen of the state, nor any other tax prohibited by Article
9VII of this constitution, shall be imposed by a revision or
10amendment proposed by initiative unless the proposal embraces
11but one subject and matter directly connected therewith.

14     Remove line 68, and insert:
15amendment. The amendment further prohibits inheritance, estate,
16income and other taxes presently prohibited by Article VII of
17the constitution from being imposed by revision or amendment
18proposed by citizen initiative unless the amendment addresses
19only one subject. As is presently allowed, such taxes or fees
20could still be proposed by initiative if the proposal is limited
21to a single subject and is approved by two-thirds of voters.
