| 12 | funeral establishment which holds a certificate of authority |
| 13 | pursuant to s. 497.405 may obtain an agent's license to sell |
| 14 | only policies of life insurance covering the expense of a |
| 15 | prearrangement for funeral services or merchandise so as to |
| 16 | provide funds at the time the services and merchandise are |
| 17 | needed. The face amount of insurance covered by any such policy |
| 18 | shall not exceed $12,500 plus an annual percentage increase |
| 19 | based on the Annual Consumer Price Index compiled by the United |
| 20 | States Department of Labor, beginning with the Annual Consumer |
| 21 | Price Index announced by the United States Department of Labor |
| 22 | for the year 2004 $7,500. |
