  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to reimbursement for lung

  3         transplant services for Medicaid recipients;

  4         amending s. 409.9062, F.S.; requiring the

  5         Agency for Health Care Administration to

  6         reimburse lung transplant facilities a global

  7         fee for services provided to Medicaid

  8         recipients, unless otherwise directed in the

  9         General Appropriations Act; providing an

10         effective date.

12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

13  

14         Section 1.  Section 409.9062, Florida Statutes, is

15  amended to read:

16         409.9062  Lung transplant services for Medicaid

17  recipients.--Subject to the availability of funds and subject

18  to any limitations or directions provided for in the General

19  Appropriations Act or chapter 216, the Agency for Health Care

20  Administration Medicaid program shall pay for medically

21  necessary lung transplant services for Medicaid recipients.

22  Unless expressly directed otherwise in the General

23  Appropriations Act, these payments must be used to reimburse

24  approved lung transplant facilities a global fee for providing

25  lung transplant services to Medicaid recipients.

26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

27  law.
