| 9 | deemed valid for up to 1 year after the patient's death. |
| 10 | (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of this section, no |
| 11 | records owner, health care practitioner, or health care |
| 12 | practitioner's employer shall be held either criminally or |
| 13 | civilly liable for releasing any records pursuant to paragraph |
| 14 | (a). |
