14 Lines 26-203, delete those lines

16 and insert: that is intended to:
17 1. Aid, abet, facilitate, permit, advocate, or
18 encourage;
19 2. Publicize, promote, advertise, operate, stage,
20 schedule or conduct;
21 3. Provide or secure a venue, transportation, or
22 security; or
23 4. Result in the collection of an admission or fee.
24 (b) "Self-murder" means the voluntary and intentional
25 taking of one's own life. As used in this section, the term
26 includes attempted self-murder.
27 (c) "Simulated self-murder" means the artistic
28 depiction or portrayal of self-murder which is not an actual
29 self-murder. The term includes, but is not limited to, an
30 artistic depiction or portrayal of self-murder in a script,
31 play, movie, or story presented to the public or during an

1 event.
2 (2) A person may not for commercial or entertainment
3 purposes:
4 (a) Conduct any event that the person knows or
5 reasonably should know includes an actual self-murder as a
6 part of the event or deliberately assist in an actual
7 self-murder.
8 (b) Provide a theater, auditorium, club, or other
9 venue or location for any event that the person knows or
10 reasonably should know includes an actual self-murder as a
11 part of the event.
12 (3) This section does not prohibit any event during
13 which simulated self-murder will occur.
14 (4) It is not a defense to a prosecution under this
15 section that an attempted self-murder did not result in a
16 self-murder.
17 (5) A person who violates this section commits a
18 felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s.
19 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 774.084.
20 (6) The Attorney General or any state attorney may
21 bring a civil proceeding for declaratory, injunctive, or other
22 relief to enforce the provisions of this section.
23 Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
24 law.

1 defining the terms "deliberately assisting,"
2 "self-murder," and "simulated self-murder";
3 prohibiting conducting an event or providing a
4 location for an event that the person knows or
5 reasonably should know includes the act of
6 self-murder; prohibiting deliberately assisting
7 in a self-murder; providing an exception for
8 events in which simulated self-murder is
9 conducted; providing that a violation of the
10 act is a third-degree felony; authorizing the
11 Attorney General and state attorneys to enforce
12 the act through civil proceedings;
