  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the workers' compensation

  3         joint underwriting plan; appropriating $15

  4         million from the Workers' Compensation

  5         Administration Trust Fund in the Department of

  6         Financial Services to the workers' compensation

  7         joint underwriting plan for Fiscal Year

  8         2004-2005; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of sections

13  440.50 and 440.51, Florida Statutes, for the 2004-2005 Fiscal

14  Year only, the sum of $15 million is appropriated from the

15  Workers' Compensation Administration Trust Fund in the

16  Department of Financial Services for transfer to the workers'

17  compensation joint underwriting plan provided in section

18  627.311(5), Florida Statutes. The Chief Financial Officer

19  shall transfer such funds to the plan no later than July 31,

20  2004.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

22  law.
