3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Between lines 7 and 8, insert:
5     Section 1.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (1) of section
661.13, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
7     61.13  Custody and support of children; visitation rights;
8power of court in making orders.--
9     (1)(a)1.  In a proceeding for dissolution of marriage, the
10court may at any time order either or both parents who owe a
11duty of support to a child to pay support in accordance with the
12guidelines in s. 61.30. The court initially entering an order
13requiring one or both parents to make child support payments
14shall have continuing jurisdiction after the entry of the
15initial order to modify the amount and terms and conditions of
16the child support payments when the modification is found
17necessary by the court in the best interests of the child, when
18the child reaches majority, or when there is a substantial
19change in the circumstances of the parties. The court initially
20entering a child support order shall also have continuing
21jurisdiction to require the obligee to report to the court on
22terms prescribed by the court regarding the disposition of the
23child support payments.
24     2.  The court may order the support obligation to continue
25if the child reaches the age of majority and the child is
26enrolled in an institution of higher education or vocational
27training, or the child has enrolled in an institution of higher
28education or vocational training no later than October 1
29following graduation from a secondary school or completion of a
30graduate equivalency diploma program, and provided that the
31child is enrolled as at least a part-time student. Such support
32obligation shall continue until the child completes such
33education or training or until the child reaches the age of 22,
34whichever occurs first.
