  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to port facilities; requiring

  3         the Department of Law Enforcement, in

  4         conjunction with the Department of

  5         Transportation and the Florida Ports Council,

  6         to study the need to amend the law limiting

  7         access to seaports for certain port-facility

  8         employees; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  The Department of Law Enforcement, in

13  conjunction with the Department of Transportation and the

14  Florida Ports Council, shall perform a study to determine if

15  there is a need to amend the law that limits access to

16  seaports for employees of port facilities that do not deal

17  directly with passengers or cargo.

18         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

19  law.

22                          SENATE SUMMARY

23    Requires the Department of Law Enforcement, in
