11  Senator Peaden moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment 
14         On page 126, line 16, through
15            page 127, line 21, delete those lines
16  
17  and insert:  
18         Section 46.  The sum of $250,000 is appropriated from
19  the Insurance Regulatory Trust Fund to enable the board of the
20  Florida Health Insurance Plan to conduct an actuarial study
21  required under section 627.64872, Florida Statutes.
22         Section 47.  The sum of $169,069 is appropriated from
23  the Insurance Regulatory Trust Fund in the Department of
24  Financial Services to the Office of Insurance Regulation, and
25  three full-time equivalent positions are authorized, for the
26  purpose of implementing the provisions in this act relating to
27  the regulation of Discount Medical Plan Organizations.
28         Section 48.  The sum of $650,000 is appropriated from
29  the General Revenue Fund to the Agency for Health Care
30  Administration for the purposes of implementing the Florida
31  Patient Safety Corporation. The sum of $350,000 shall be used

 1  as startup funds for the Florida Patient Safety Corporation
 2  and $300,000 shall be used for the "near miss" project within
 3  the Florida Patient Safety Corporation.
 4         Section 49.  The sum of $1,136,171 is appropriated from
 5  the General Revenue Fund to the Agency for Health Care
 6  Administration, and 11 full-time equivalent positions are
 7  authorized, for the purposes of implementing the provisions of
 8  this act relating to the reporting of performance and cost
 9  data for hospitals, physicians, and pharmacies.
