  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to child support; amending s.

  3         409.2558, F.S.; requiring the Department of

  4         Revenue to use reasonable efforts to locate

  5         persons to whom collections or refunds are

  6         owed, including disclosing information on the

  7         Internet; providing an effective date.

  8  

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10  

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section

12  409.2558, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

13         409.2558  Support distribution and disbursement.--

14         (2)  UNDISTRIBUTABLE COLLECTIONS.--

15         (a)  The department shall establish by rule the method

16  for determining a collection or refund to a noncustodial

17  parent to be undistributable to the final intended recipient.

18  This method must provide for reasonable efforts to locate and

19  notify persons to whom collections or refunds are owed,

20  including the disclosure of names and other information on the

21  Internet.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
