  1                    Senate Resolution No. ____

  2         A resolution recognizing Jessica M. Hanson on

  3         her student leadership at Florida State

  4         University and work on behalf of students in

  5         Florida and nationwide.

  6  

  7         WHEREAS, Jessica M. Hanson is a native of Melbourne,

  8  Florida, and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree at

  9  Florida State University, and

10         WHEREAS, Jessica M. Hanson has become a recognized

11  student leader at Florida State University, serving first as a

12  student senator, as Panhellenic Association Director of

13  Community Affairs, and as Student Government Director of

14  Legislative Affairs, and

15         WHEREAS, Jessica M. Hanson has represented the

16  interests of all students both in Florida and across the

17  United States in her testimony before the United States House

18  of Representatives Subcommittee on 21st Century

19  Competitiveness, and

20         WHEREAS, Jessica M. Hanson has recently been elected to

21  serve as Vice President of Florida State University's Student

22  Government, NOW, THEREFORE,

23  

24  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

25  

26         That the Senate honors and pays tribute to Jessica

27  Hanson for her continued service to her university and to

28  students in Florida and across the nation.

29         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

30  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Florida

31  State University Student Government Vice President Jessica M.
