14 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

16 | Section 1. Appearance card required for testifying before |
17 | a legislative committee; implied oath.-- |
18 | (1) For purposes of this section, the term "legislative |
19 | committee" means any committee, subcommittee, select committee, |
20 | conference committee, joint committee, or council of either or |
21 | both chambers of the Legislature. |
22 | (2) A person who testifies before a legislative committee |
23 | shall be considered to be under oath and, if he or she willfully |
24 | testifies falsely, is subject to penalties for perjury as |
25 | provided by law. |
26 | (3) Before testifying before a legislative committee, a |
27 | person must complete an appearance card that includes, but need |
28 | not be limited to, the person's name and address, the |
29 | organization that he or she represents, if any, and the person's |
30 | signature. The card must contain a notice, printed in legible |
31 | type and located above the signature line, which states that by |
32 | signing the card the person acknowledges being under oath and |
33 | subject to penalties for perjury if he or she does not testify |
34 | truthfully. |
35 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004. |
