1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to Broward County; providing
3 for deannexation of certain lands from the City
4 of Cooper City; providing for annexation of
5 certain lands into the Town of Southwest
6 Ranches; providing an effective date.

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. The lands contained in the following legal
11 description are hereby deannexed from the City of Cooper City,
12 Broward County:

14 A portion of the Southeast One-Quarter (SE 1/4)
15 of Section 26, Township 50 South, Range 40
16 East, Broward County, Florida, being more
17 particularly described as follows:
18 COMMENCE at the intersection of the baseline of
19 survey of Griffin Road with baseline of survey
20 of Flamingo Road as shown on the Florida
21 Department of Transportation Right-of-Way Map,
22 Section No. 86190-2517, Sheet 2 of 16;
23 THENCE South 88°29'39" West, 85.01 feet;
24 THENCE South 01°47'01" East, along the West
25 right-of-way line of Flamingo Road, 688.37
26 feet;
27 THENCE South 88°12'59" West, 315.65 feet to the
28 POINT OF BEGINNING;
29 THENCE continue South 88°12'59" West, 294.35

5 right-of-way line, 233.02 feet;
6 THENCE North 88°29'39" East along said South
7 right-of-way line 64.55 feet;
8 THENCE South 01°30'21" East, 555.72 feet to the
9 POINT OF BEGINNING.
10 Said lands lying in the City of Cooper City,
11 Broward County, Florida, containing 166,206
12 square feet (3.815 acres), more or less.

14 Section 2. The present corporate limits of the Town of
15 Southwest Ranches, Broward County, are hereby extended and
16 enlarged so as to include, in addition to the territory
17 presently within its corporate limits, the following:
