1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to enterprise zones; authorizing the
3	Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development to
4	amend the boundaries of certain enterprise zones;
5	providing a limitation; authorizing expansion of such
6	enterprise zone to include certain noncontiguous areas;
7	providing an effective date.

9	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11	Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
12	Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development may amend the
13	boundaries of an area designated as an enterprise zone in a
14	community located wholly within the boundaries of a consolidated
15	government so long as the amendment does not increase the
16	existing size of the enterprise zone by an area of more than 2
17	square miles. The enterprise zone in said community may also be
18	expanded to include noncontiguous areas designated as a federal
19	empowerment zone under the 2000 Community Renewal Tax Relief Act
20	without any limitations as to size.
21	Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
