17 and insert:
18 Section 1. Section 782.081, Florida Statutes, is
19 created to read:
20 782.081 Commercial exploitation of self-murder.--
21 (1) As used in this section, the term:
22 (a) "Deliberately assisting" means carrying out a
23 public act that is intended to:
24 1. Aid, abet, facilitate, permit, advocate, or
25 encourage;
26 2. Publicize, promote, advertise, operate, stage,
27 schedule or conduct;
28 3. Provide or secure a venue, transportation, or
29 security; or
30 4. Result in the collection of an admission or fee.
31 (b) "Self-murder" means the voluntary and intentional

1 taking of one's own life. As used in this section, the term
2 includes attempted self-murder.
3 (c) "Simulated self-murder" means the artistic
4 depiction or portrayal of self-murder which is not an actual
5 self-murder. The term includes, but is not limited to, an
6 artistic depiction or portrayal of self-murder in a script,
7 play, movie, or story presented to the public or during an
8 event.
9 (2) A person may not for commercial or entertainment
10 purposes:
11 (a) Conduct any event that the person knows or
12 reasonably should know includes an actual self-murder as a
13 part of the event or deliberately assist in an actual
14 self-murder.
15 (b) Provide a theater, auditorium, club, or other
