1	A bill to be entitled
2	An act relating to the Lowry Park Zoo; designating the
3	Lowry Park Zoo as the state center for Florida species
4	conservation and biodiversity; providing an effective
5	date.

7	Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

9	Section 1. The Lowry Park Zoo, a not-for-profit
10	corporation located in the City of Tampa, is hereby designated
11	as the state center for Florida species conservation and
12	biodiversity, including captive breeding, animal husbandry,
13	conservation education, and veterinary care and rescue,
14	rehabilitation, research, and release of Florida’s endangered
15	and threatened wildlife species, including, but not limited to,
16	the Florida manatee, Florida panther, red wolf, Key deer, Key
17	Largo wood rat, and whooping crane.
18	Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
