  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to traffic control; amending s.

  3         316.1945, F.S.; prohibits stopping or parking a

  4         vehicle in a school zone, except in a

  5         designated loading or unloading area; providing

  6         an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9  

10         Section 1.  Paragraph (d) is added to subsection (1) of

11  section 316.1945, Florida Statutes, to read:

12         316.1945  Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in

13  specified places.--

14         (1)  Except when necessary to avoid conflict with other

15  traffic, or in compliance with law or the directions of a

16  police officer or official traffic control device, no person

17  shall:

18         (d)  Stop or park a vehicle, whether occupied or not,

19  to load or unload any passenger in a school zone, except in a

20  designated loading or unloading area.

21         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
