15         On page 7, line 9, through
16            page 8, line 20, delete those lines

18  and insert:  
19         5.  Information related to both the
20  preindependent-living assessment and all staffings, which
21  shall be reduced to writing and signed by the child
22  participant, shall be included as a part of the written report
23  required to be provided to the court at each judicial review
24  held pursuant to s. 39.701.
25         (b)  Life skills services.--
26         1.  Life skills services may include, but are not
27  limited to, independent living skills training, including
28  training to develop banking and budgeting skills, interviewing
29  skills, parenting skills, educational support, employment
30  training, and counseling. Children receiving these services
31  should also be provided with information related to social

The 2 specific services to be provided to a child shall be 3 determined using an independent life skills assessment. 4 2. A child who has reached 15 years of age but is not 5 yet to 18 years of age who is in foster care is eligible for 6 such services. 7 3. The department shall conduct a staffing at least 8 once every 6 months for each child who has reached 15 years of 9 age but is not yet 18 years of age to ensure that the 10 appropriate independent living training and services as 11 determined by the independent life skills assessment are being 12 received and to evaluate the progress of the child in 13 developing the needed independent living skills. At these 14 staffings, the department shall identify children with 15 developmental disabilities and special mental health needs and 16 coordinate with the appropriate agencies to assist these 17 children with their special needs, particularly the 18 Developmental Disabilities Program Office and Mental Health 19 Program Office.
