  2         An act relating to road and bridge

  3         designations; designating Browning-Pearce

  4         Memorial Highway in St. Johns and Putnam

  5         Counties; designating Jerome A. Williams

  6         Memorial Highway in Putnam County; designating

  7         James C. Penney Memorial Boulevard in Clay

  8         County; designating C. Fred and Marvin

  9         Arrington Bridge in Leon County; designating

10         Howard E. Futch Memorial Highway in Brevard and

11         Osceola Counties; designating the St. Johns

12         River Bridge on I-4 at the Seminole/Volusia

13         County line as "St. Johns River Veterans

14         Memorial Bridge"; directing the Department of

15         Transportation to erect suitable markers;

16         providing an effective date.

18  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

19  

20         Section 1.  Browning-Pearce Memorial Highway

21  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

22         (1)  That portion of State Road 207 between Interstate

23  Highway 95 in St. Johns County and the intersection with U.S.

24  Highway 17 in Putnam County is designated as "Browning-Pearce

25  Memorial Highway."

26         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

27  erect suitable markers designating Browning-Pearce Memorial

28  Highway as described in subsection (1).

29         Section 2.  Jerome A. Williams Memorial Highway

30  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

 1         (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 17 in Putnam County

 2  from Crescent City south to the border at Volusia County is

 3  designated as "Jerome A. Williams Memorial Highway."

 4         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 5  erect suitable markers designating Jerome A. Williams Memorial

 6  Highway as described in subsection (1).

 7         Section 3.  James C. Penney Memorial Boulevard

 8  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

 9         (1)  That portion of State Road 16 in Clay County

10  within the town limits of the Town of Penney Farms is

11  designated as "James C. Penney Memorial Boulevard."

12         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

13  erect suitable markers designating James C. Penney Memorial

14  Boulevard as described in subsection (1).

15         Section 4.  C. Fred and Marvin Arrington Bridge

16  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

17         (1)  The C. Fred Arrington Bridge located on U.S.

18  Highway 27 between Tallahassee and Havana and crossing the

19  Ochlockonee River is designated as "C. Fred and Marvin

20  Arrington Bridge."

21         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

22  erect suitable markers designating C. Fred and Marvin

23  Arrington Bridge as described in subsection (1).

24         Section 5.  Howard E. Futch Memorial Highway

25  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

26         (1)  That portion of U.S. Highway 192 from Interstate

27  Highway 95 in Brevard County to St. Cloud in Osceola County is

28  designated as "Howard E. Futch Memorial Highway."

29         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

30  erect suitable markers designating Howard E. Futch Memorial

31  Highway as described in subsection (1).

 1         Section 6.  St. Johns River Veterans Memorial Bridge

 2  designated; department to erect suitable markers.--

 3         (1)  The St. Johns River Bridge on I-4 at the

 4  Seminole/Volusia County line is designated as the "St. Johns

 5  River Veterans Memorial Bridge."

 6         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

 7  erect suitable markers designating the St. Johns River

 8  Veterans Memorial Bridge as described in subsection (1).

 9         Section 7.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

10  law.

13                          SENATE SUMMARY

14    Provides road and bridge designations of the
      Browning-Pearce Memorial Highway, the Jerome A. Williams
15    Memorial Highway, the James C. Penney Memorial Boulevard,
      the C. Fred and Marvin Arrington Bridge, and the Howard
16    E. Futch Memorial Highway, and the St. Johns River
      Veterans Memorial Bridge. Provides for the erection of
17    markers.
