2 An act relating to license plates; amending ss.
3 320.08056 and 320.08058, F.S.; creating a
4 Florida Food Banks license plate; providing for
5 the distribution of annual use fees received
6 from the sales of such plates; providing an
7 effective date.

9 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11 Section 1. Paragraph (ss) is added to subsection (4)
12 of section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:
13 320.08056 Specialty license plates.--
14 (4) The following license plate annual use fees shall
15 be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:
16 (ss) Florida Food Banks license plate, $25.
17 Section 2. Subsection (45) is added to section
18 320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:
19 320.08058 Specialty license plates.--
20 (45) FLORIDA FOOD BANKS LICENSE PLATES.--
21 (a) The department shall develop a Florida Food Banks
22 license plate as provided in this section. The word "Florida"
23 must appear at the top of the plate, and the word "Imagine"
24 must appear at the bottom of the plate.
25 (b) The annual use fees shall be distributed to the
26 Florida Association of Food Banks, Inc., which may use up to
27 25 percent of the proceeds to market the association's concept
28 and the license plate. The balance of the proceeds shall be
29 used by the association to fund programs to end hunger in this
30 state.

1 (c) An advisory board, composed of a representative of
2 each member food bank, shall review the distribution of funds
3 by the association.
4 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
