| 8 | a trainee is exempt from the requirements of this chapter while |
| 9 | the trainee is performing assigned tasks under the direct |
| 10 | supervision of a board-certified anesthesiologist in conjunction |
| 11 | with an approved program. Certified registered nurse |
| 12 | anesthetists shall not be used to train or supervise trainees. |
| 13 | Before anesthesia is provided to any patient by a trainee, the |
| 14 | patient must be informed in writing that anesthesia will be |
| 15 | administered by a trainee. |
