1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the
4 Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
5 without modification; carrying forward current
6 balances and continuing current sources and
7 uses thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the Department
11 of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which was declared to be
12 exempt from the automatic-termination provisions of the State
13 Constitution by section 2(1) of chapter 99-205, Laws of
14 Florida, but which after legislative review has been found not
15 to be exempt from such provisions, and
16 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that the trust fund
17 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for
20 its use and that the trust fund should be re-created, NOW,
21 THEREFORE,

23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

25 Section 1. (1) The Florida Preservation 2000 Trust
26 Fund within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer
27 Services, FLAIR number 42-2-332, which was declared to be
28 exempt from the automatic-termination provisions of the State
29 Constitution by section 2(1) of chapter 99-205, Laws of
30 Florida, is not exempt from such automatic termination and is
31 re-created.

1 (2) All current balances of the trust fund are carried
2 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
3 are continued.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2004.
