| 8 | 633.702, F.S.; providing a criminal penalty for |
| 9 | intentionally or willfully installing, servicing, testing, |
| 10 | repairing, improving, or inspecting a fire alarm system |
| 11 | without complying with certain fire alarm system agent |
| 12 | licensing requirements; providing an effective date. |

| 14 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 15 |
|
| 16 | Section 1. Subsection (4) is added to section 633.702, |
| 17 | Florida Statutes, to read: |
| 18 | 633.702 Prohibited acts regarding alarm system contractors |
| 19 | or certified unlimited electrical contractors; penalties.-- |
| 20 | (4) It is a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as |
| 21 | provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083, for any person to |
| 22 | intentionally or willfully install, service, test, repair, |
| 23 | improve, or inspect a fire alarm system without being in |
| 24 | compliance with s. 489.5185. |
| 25 | Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2004. |
