12  recommended the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 24, line 26, through page 25, line 17, delete
16  those lines
17  
18  and insert:
19         (c)1.  If the kindergarten readiness rate of a private
20  prekindergarten provider or public school falls below the
21  minimum rate adopted by the State Board of Education as
22  satisfactory under s. 1002.69(6), the early learning coalition
23  or school district, as applicable, shall require the provider
24  or school to take certain corrective actions, including the
25  use of a curriculum approved by the department under paragraph
26  (2)(c), and to submit an improvement plan for approval by the
27  coalition or school district, as applicable, and to implement
28  the plan.
29         2.  If a private prekindergarten provider or public
30  school fails to meet the minimum rate adopted by the State
31  Board of Education as satisfactory under s. 1002.69(6) for 2

 1  consecutive years, the early learning coalition or school
 2  district, as applicable, shall place the provider or school on
 3  probation. A private prekindergarten provider or public school
 4  that is placed on probation must continue the corrective
 5  actions required under subparagraph 1., including the use of a
 6  curriculum approved by the department, until the provider or
 7  school meets the minimum rate adopted by the State Board of
 8  Education as satisfactory under s. 1002.69(6).
 9         3.  If a private prekindergarten provider or public
