11 Senator Rich moved the following amendment:

13 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
14 On page 91, lines 19-30, and on page 92, lines 1-4,
15 delete those lines

17 and insert:
18 Section 15. Subsections (5) and (6) are added to
19 section 1007.23, Florida Statutes, to read:
20 1007.23 Statewide articulation agreement.--
21 (5) The articulation agreement must guarantee the
22 articulation of 9 credit hours toward a postsecondary degree
23 in early childhood education for programs approved by the
24 State Board of Education which:
25 (a) Award a child development associate credential
26 issued by the National Credentialing Program of the Council
27 for Professional Recognition or award a credential approved
28 under s. 1002.55(3)(c)1.b. or s. 402.305(3)(c) as being
29 equivalent to the child development associate credential; and
30 (b) Include training in emergent literacy which meets
31 or exceeds the minimum standards for training courses for

1 prekindergarten instructors of the Voluntary Prekindergarten
2 Education Program in s. 1002.59.
3 (6) The articulation agreement must guarantee the
4 articulation of an associate in science degree in early
5 childhood education into the appropriate baccalaureate degree
6 program of a state university.
