11 Senator Margolis moved the following amendment:

13 Senate Amendment
14 On page 24, lines 4 through 20, delete those lines
15
16 and insert: Prekindergarten Education Program, except as
17 required for a provider or school under paragraph (3)(c).
18 (b) Each private prekindergarten provider's and public
19 school's curriculum must be developmentally appropriate and
20 must:
21 1. Be designed to prepare a student for early
22 literacy;
23 2. Enhance the age-appropriate progress of students in
24 attaining the performance standards adopted by the department
25 under subsection (1); and
26 3. Prepare students to be ready for kindergarten based
27 upon the statewide kindergarten screening administered under
28 s. 1002.69.
29 (c) The department shall review and approve curricula
30 for use by private prekindergarten providers and public
31 schools that are required to use an approved curriculum under
