2 (5) Sections 620.8901, 620.8902, 620.8903, 620.8904,
3 620.8905, 620.8906, 620.8907, and 620.8908, Florida Statutes,
4 are repealed.
5 Section 25. Section 817.155, Florida Statutes, is
6 amended to read:
7 817.155 Matters within jurisdiction of Department of
8 State; false, fictitious, or fraudulent acts, statements, and
9 representations prohibited; penalty; statute of
10 limitations.--A person may not, in any matter within the
11 jurisdiction of the Department of State, knowingly and
12 willfully falsify or conceal a material fact, make any false,
13 fictitious, or fraudulent statement or representation, or make
14 or use any false document, knowing the same to contain any
15 false, fictitious, or fraudulent statement or entry. A person
16 who violates this section is guilty of a felony misdemeanor of
17 the third second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082,
18 or s. 775.083, or s.775.084. The statute of limitations for
19 prosecution of an act committed in violation of this section
20 is 5 years from the date the act was committed.
