11  The Committee on Regulated Industries (Geller) recommended the
12  following amendment to amendment (682828):

14         Senate Amendment 
15         On page 15, between lines 29 and 30,
16  
17  insert:  
18         (4)(a)  An individual as defined by s. 112.3148(2)(d)
19  who is employed by or serving in elected office to state or
20  local government or his or her relative as defined by s.
21  112.312(21) shall not in his or her individual capacity engage
22  in any business activity, directly or indirectly, with a
23  licensee except as a patron.
24         (b)  As used in this subsection, the term "business
25  activity" shall specifically include, but is not limited to,
26  contracts:
27         1.  For the sale or purchase of goods, merchandise, and
28  services.
29         2.  To provide or receive legal services, advertising,
30  public relations, or any other business or personal service.
31         3.  For the listing, purchase, or sale of immovable

 1  property or options or real estate rights relating thereto.
 2         4.  Modifying ownership or possessory interests in
 3  stocks, bonds, securities, or any financial instruments.
 4         (c)  The Commission on Ethics shall administer and
 5  enforce the provisions of this subsection.
