14 On page 1, line 21, through
15 page 2, line 16, delete those lines
16
17 and insert:
18 (a) No person convicted of a felony, or adjudicated in
19 this or any other state to be mentally incompetent, shall be
20 qualified to vote or hold office until restoration of civil
21 rights or removal of disability.
22 (b) No person may appear on the ballot for re-election
23 to any of the following offices:
24 (1) Florida representative,
25 (2) Florida senator,
26 (3) Florida Lieutenant governor,
27 (4) any office of the Florida cabinet,
28 (5) U.S. Representative from Florida, or
29 (6) U.S. Senator from Florida
30 if, by the end of the current term of office, the
31 person will have served (or, but for resignation, would have

3 SCHEDULE
4 Section 1. SECTION 26.--The amendment to Section 4 of
5 Article VI denying ballot access for re-election to any state
6 legislator who will have served (or, but for resignation,
7 would have served) in that office for 8 consecutive years,
8 shall be repealed upon
