11  Senator Saunders moved the following amendment to House
12  amendment (493107):

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
15         On page 13, between lines 338 and 339,
16  
17  insert:  
18         Section 11.  Subsection (3) of section 458.348, Florida
19  Statutes, is amended to read:
20         458.348  Formal supervisory relationships, standing
21  orders, and established protocols; notice; standards.--
22         (3)  PROTOCOLS REQUIRING DIRECT SUPERVISION.--All
23  protocols relating to electrolysis or electrology using laser
24  or light-based hair removal or reduction by persons other than
25  physicians licensed under this chapter or chapter 459 shall
26  require the person performing such service to be appropriately
27  trained and work only under the direct supervision and
28  responsibility of a physician licensed under this chapter or
29  chapter 459. A licensed advanced registered nurse practitioner
30  or physician assistant practicing under a protocol with a
31  physician licensed under chapter 458 or chapter 459 shall not

 1  be required to obtain licensure as an electrologist in order
 2  to perform laser or light-based hair removal procedures.

 9         On page 14, line 368, after the second semicolon,

12         amending s. 458.348, F.S.; providing that a
13         licensed advanced registered nurse

15         practicing under a protocol with a physician
16         licensed under ch. 458, F.S., or ch. 459, F.S.,
17         need not be a licensed electrologist to perform
18         certain hair removal procedures;
