12 following amendment to amendment (080762):

15 On page 25, between lines 16 and 17,

17 insert:
18 Section 7. Subsection (5) of section 943.043, Florida
19 Statutes, is added to read:
20 943.043 Toll-free telephone number; Internet
21 notification; sexual predator and sexual offender
22 information.--
23 (5) In an effort to ensure that sexual predators and
24 sexual offenders who either fail to respond to address
25 verification attempts or otherwise abscond from registration
26 are located in a timely manner, the department shall share
27 information with local law enforcement agencies. The
28 department shall utilize analytical resources to assist local
29 law enforcement agencies to determine the potential
30 whereabouts of sexual predators and sexual offenders who fail
31 to respond to address verification attempts or otherwise

1 abscond from registration. The department shall review and
2 analyze all available information on those predators and
3 offenders who fail to respond to address verification attempts
4 or otherwise abscond from registration and provide the
5 information to local law enforcement agencies to assist them
6 in the location and apprehension of such sexual predators and
7 sexual offenders.
