14 On page 45, lines 10-19, delete those lines
15
16 and insert: registration process and community and public
17 notification provisions. As part of determining the
18 effectiveness os the registration process, the OPPAGA shall
19 examine the current practices of: the Department of
20 Corrections, county probation offices, clerk of courts, court
21 administrators, county jails and booking facilities,
22 Department of Children and Family Services, judges, state
23 attorneys offices, Department of Highway Safety and Motor
24 Vehicles, Department of Law Enforcement, and local law
25 enforcement agencies as they relate to: sharing of offender
26 information regarding registered sexual predators and sexual
27 offenders for purposes of fulfilling the requirements set
28 fourth in the registration laws; ensuring the most accurate,
29 current and comprehensive information is provided in a timely
30 manner to the registry; ensuring the effective supervision and
31 subsequent monitoring of sexual predators and offenders; and

1 ensuring informed decisions are made at each point of the
2 criminal justice and registration process. In addition to
3 determining the effectiveness of the registration process, the
4 report shall focus on the question of whether the notification
5 provisions in statute are sufficient to apprise communities of
6 the presence of sexual predators and sexual offenders. The
7 report shall examine how local law enforcement agencies
8 collect and disseminate information in an effort to notify the
9 public and communities of the presence of sexual predators and
10 offenders. If the report finds deficiencies in the
11 registration process,
