11 The Committee on Education (Wilson) recommended the following
12 substitute for amendment to amendment (082826):

14 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
15 On page 2, between lines 13 and 14,
16
17 insert:
18 (4) Each district school board shall, no later than
19 August 1, 2006, appoint from current staff a performing and
20 fine arts coordinator to implement any policy for performing
21 and fine arts developed and implemented by the district school
22 board.
23 Section 2. Subsection (4) is added to section
24 1003.455, Florida Statutes, to read:
25 1003.455 Physical education; assessment.--
26 (4) Each district school board shall, no later than
27 August 1, 2005, appoint from current staff a physical
28 education coordinator to implement any physical education
29 program developed by the district school board resulting from
30 the physical education assessment completed according to this
31 section.

16 and fine arts; requiring each district school
17 board to develop a performing and fine arts
18 program; requiring that the school boards adopt
19 written policies for providing time and access
20 to the performing and fine arts for students in
21 prekindergarten through grade 12 and provide a
22 copy to the Department of Education by a
23 specified date; requiring reports to the
24 department; requiring each district school
25 board to appoint a performing and fine arts
26 coordinator to implement performing and fine
27 arts programs developed by the school board;
28 amending s. 1003.455, F.S.; requiring each
29 district school board to appoint a physical
30 education coordinator to implement physical
31 education programs developed by the school
