  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to education; creating s.

  3         1003.422, F.S.; allowing school districts to

  4         provide instruction in the history of labor;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8  

  9         Section 1.  Section 1003.422, Florida Statutes, is

10  created to read:

11         1003.422  Instruction in history of labor

12  authorized.--Each school district may provide students with

13  programs and instruction at the appropriate grade levels in

14  the history of labor in the United States and Florida,

15  including the historical legacy of labor as given by each

16  successive generation.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.
