12 following amendment:

15 On page 8, line 21 through page 9, line 5 delete those
16 lines

18 and insert:
19 Section 5. The Department of Environmental Protection,
20 in coordination with the Fish and Wildlife Conservation
21 Commission, shall undertake a study evaluating the current use
22 of state parks for purposes of recreational boating and
23 identify opportunities for increasing recreational boating
24 access within the state park system and determine impacts on
25 existing recreational uses and wildlife needs. The study must
26 include recommendations regarding the most appropriate
27 locations for expanding existing recreational boating access
28 and must identify state parks where new recreational boating
29 access may be located. Recommendations are to include impacts
30 on existing recreational uses and wildlife needs. The report
31 must contain estimates of the costs necessary to expand and

1 construct additional recreational boating facilities at
2 specific state parks. The department shall submit a report
3 summarizing its findings and recommendations to the Governor,
4 the President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of
5 Representatives by January 1, 2006.
