  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the official Florida

  3         Statutes; amending ss. 11.2421, 11.2422,

  4         11.2424, and 11.2425, F.S.; adopting the

  5         Florida Statutes 2005 and designating the

  6         portions thereof that are to constitute the

  7         official law of the state; providing that the

  8         Florida Statutes 2005 shall be effective

  9         immediately upon publication; providing that

10         general laws enacted during the 2004 regular

11         session and prior thereto and not included in

12         the Florida Statutes 2005 are repealed;

13         providing that general laws enacted during the

14         2005 regular session are not repealed by this

15         adoption act.

17  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

18  

19         Section 1.  Section 11.2421, Florida Statutes, is

20  amended to read:

21         11.2421  Florida Statutes 2005 2004 adopted.--The

22  accompanying revision, consolidation, and compilation of the

23  public statutes of 2004 2003 of a general and permanent

24  nature, excepting tables, rules, indexes, and other related

25  matter contained therein, prepared by the Office of

26  Legislative Services under the provisions of s. 11.242,

27  together with corrections, changes, and amendments to and

28  repeals of provisions of Florida Statutes 2004 2003 enacted in

29  additional reviser's bill or bills by the 2005 2004

30  Legislature, is adopted and enacted as the official statute

31  law of the state under the title of "Florida Statutes 2005

 1  2004" and shall take effect immediately upon publication.

 2  Said statutes may be cited as "Florida Statutes 2005 2004,"

 3  "Florida Statutes," or "F.S. 2005 2004."

 4         Section 2.  Section 11.2422, Florida Statutes, is

 5  amended to read:

 6         11.2422  Statutes repealed.--Every statute of a general

 7  and permanent nature enacted by the State or by the Territory

 8  of Florida at or prior to the 2004 regular August 12-13, 2003,

 9  special legislative session, and every part of such statute,

10  not included in Florida Statutes 2005 2004, as adopted by s.

11  11.2421, as amended, or recognized and continued in force by

12  reference therein or in ss. 11.2423 and 11.2424, as amended,

13  is repealed.

14         Section 3.  Section 11.2424, Florida Statutes, is

15  amended to read:

16         11.2424  Laws not repealed.--Laws enacted at the

17  December 13-16, 2004 October 20-24, 2003, Special Session and

18  the 2005 2004 regular session are not repealed by the adoption

19  and enactment of the Florida Statutes 2005 2004 by s. 11.2421,

20  as amended, but shall have full effect as if enacted after its

21  said adoption and enactment.

22         Section 4.  Section 11.2425, Florida Statutes, is

23  amended to read:

24         11.2425  Rights reserved under repealed statutes.--The

25  repeal of any statute by the adoption and enactment of Florida

26  Statutes 2005 2004, by s. 11.2421, as amended, shall not

27  affect any right accrued before such repeal or any civil

28  remedy where a suit is pending.
