  1                 A reviser's bill to be entitled
  2         An act relating to the Florida Statutes;
  3         amending ss. 369.324, 381.92, 458.3475, and
  4         459.023, F.S., to conform to the directive in
  5         s. 1, ch. 93-199, Laws of Florida, to remove
  6         gender-specific references applicable to human
  7         beings from the Florida Statutes without
  8         substantive change in legal effect.
  9  
10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11  
12         Section 1.  Paragraph (e) of subsection (1) and
13  subsection (3) of section 369.324, Florida Statutes, are
14  amended to read:
15         369.324  Wekiva River Basin Commission.--
16         (1)  The Wekiva River Basin Commission is created to
17  monitor and ensure the implementation of the recommendations
18  of the Wekiva River Basin Coordinating Committee for the
19  Wekiva Study Area. The East Central Florida Regional Planning
20  Council shall provide staff support to the commission with
21  funding assistance from the Department of Community Affairs.
22  The commission shall be comprised of a total of 19 members
23  appointed by the Governor, 9 of whom shall be voting members
24  and 10 shall be ad hoc nonvoting members. The voting members
25  shall include:
26         (e)  One citizen representing an environmental or
27  conservation organization, one citizen representing a local
28  property owner, a land developer, or an agricultural entity,
29  and one at-large citizen who shall serve as chair chairman of
30  the council.

 1         (3)  Meetings of the commission shall be held in Lake,
 2  Orange, or Seminole county at the call of the chair chairman,
 3  but shall meet at least twice a year.
 4         Section 2.  Paragraph (c) of subsection (2) of section
 5  381.92, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
 6         381.92  Florida Cancer Council.--
 7         (2)
 8         (c)  The members of the council shall consist of:
 9         1.  Chair Chairman of the Florida Dialogue on Cancer,
10  who shall serve as the chair chairman of the council;
11         2.  Secretary of the Department of Health or his or her
12  designee;
13         3.  Chief Executive Officer of the H. Lee Moffitt
14  Cancer Center or his or her designee;
15         4.  Director of the University of Florida Shands Cancer
16  Center or his or her designee;
17         5.  Chief Executive Officer of the University of Miami
18  Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center or his or her designee;
19         6.  Chief Executive Officer of the Mayo Clinic,
20  Jacksonville, or his or her designee;
21         7.  Chief Executive Officer of the American Cancer
22  Society, Florida Division, Inc., or his or her designee;
23         8.  President of the American Cancer Society, Florida
24  Division, Inc., Board of Directors or his or her designee;
25         9.  President of the Florida Society of Clinical
26  Oncology or his or her designee;
27         10.  President of the American College of Surgeons,
28  Florida Chapter, or his or her designee;
29         11.  Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Florida,
30  Inc., or his or her designee;

 1         12.  Five representatives from cancer programs approved
 2  by the American College of Surgeons. Three shall be appointed
 3  by the Governor, one shall be appointed by the Speaker of the
 4  House of Representatives, and one shall be appointed by the
 5  President of the Senate;
 6         13.  One member of the House of Representatives, to be
 7  appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and
 8         14.  One member of the Senate, to be appointed by the
 9  President of the Senate.
10         Section 3.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (7) of section
11  458.3475, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
12         458.3475  Anesthesiologist assistants.--
13         (7)  ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT TO
14  ADVISE THE BOARD.--
15         (a)  The chairperson chairman of the board may appoint
16  an anesthesiologist and an anesthesiologist assistant to
17  advise the board as to the adoption of rules for the licensure
18  of anesthesiologist assistants. The board may use a committee
19  structure that is most practicable in order to receive any
20  recommendations to the board regarding rules and all matters
21  relating to anesthesiologist assistants, including, but not
22  limited to, recommendations to improve safety in the clinical
23  practices of licensed anesthesiologist assistants.
24         Section 4.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (7) of section
25  459.023, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
26         459.023  Anesthesiologist assistants.--
27         (7)  ANESTHESIOLOGIST AND ANESTHESIOLOGIST ASSISTANT TO

29         (a)  The chairperson chairman of the board may appoint
