  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; terminating the

  3         Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund within the

  4         Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission;

  5         providing for the disposition of balances in

  6         and revenues of the trust fund; prescribing

  7         procedures for the termination of the trust

  8         fund; providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11  

12         Section 1.  (1)  The Florida Preservation 2000 Trust

13  Fund within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,

14  FLAIR number 77-2-332, is terminated.

15         (2)  All current balances remaining in, and all

16  revenues of, the trust fund shall be transferred to the

17  Florida Forever Program Trust Fund within the Fish and

18  Wildlife Conservation Commission, FLAIR number 77-2-349.

19         (3)  The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission

20  shall pay any outstanding debts and obligations of the

21  terminated fund as soon as practicable, and the Chief

22  Financial Officer shall close out and remove the terminated

23  fund from the various state accounting systems using generally

24  accepted accounting principles concerning warrants

25  outstanding, assets, and liabilities.

26         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2005.

29                          SENATE SUMMARY

30    Terminates the Florida Preservation 2000 Trust Fund
      within the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and
31    transfers the balance of the fund to the Florida Forever
      Program Trust Fund within the commission.
