11  Senator Garcia moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 
14         On page 65, between lines 26 and 27,
15  
16  insert:  
17         Section 22.  The Office of Insurance Regulation shall,
18  by January 1, 2006, submit a report to the President of the
19  Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the
20  minority party leaders of the Senate and the House of
21  Representatives, and the chairs of the standing committees of
22  the Senate and the House of Representatives having
23  jurisdiction over matters relating to property and casualty
24  insurance. The report shall include findings and
25  recommendations on requiring residential property insurers to
26  provide law and ordinance coverage for residential property
27  insurance policies, the increase or decrease in insurance
28  costs associated with requiring such coverage, and such other
29  related information as the Office of Insurance Regulation
30  determines is appropriate for the Legislature to consider.
